Ferro Monk to Exhibit at IWEX 2009
Ferro Monk is part of the renowned Clugston group of companies.
It is a specialist company capable of providing repairs and rehabilitation services for sewers, culverts, pipelines, manholes and other underground wastewater assets, ranging from initial inspection, through to optioneering and final construction phase, on sizes from 150mm diameter and upwards.
At IWEX 2009 Ferro Monk will be exhibiting a wide range of solutions and case study examples, including the revolutionary and internationally acclaimed Ultracoat, with which it has recently completed a number of complex projects. The company was the first officially approved partner in the UK to commercially apply Ultracoat, a 100% solids epoxy lining system. With the solution, which reacts and bonds well to damp surfaces, assets can usually be brought into use in around two hours following application.
Another solution that the company will have on display is its own patented Ferrocement application. A form of reinforced mortar, the Ferrocement lining system is ideally suited to the repair and renovation of sewers, tunnels and culverts that are suitable for man-entry. It is a Type I structural liner as defined by the WRC Sewer Rehabilitation Manual.
Also on display will be examples of the company’s Cured In Place Lining (CIPP) and Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) patch repair solutions. With CIPP, a new resin impregnated liner is introduced into the pipe or sewer to help create a ‘pipe within a pipe’. The resin is then ‘cured’, hardened, leaving the pipe ready for use.
Ferro Monk is one of only a select number of companies that is able to provide remote and Man-entry services, which means it can provide solutions from 150mm upwards. The company is also celebrating that it was recently awarded excellent scores following independent assessment of the company’s safety, health, environmental and quality procedures by leading supplier management services organisation, Achilles, under their Verify programme.
