Ferro Monk Systems Limited are Framework Contractors for Yorkshire Water Services Limited.
Working either directly or through one of the appointed CaSPS (Capital Solutions Partners), we have undertaken a number of rehabilitation projects across the Yorkshire Water region over the last few years.
In February 2006, we carried out relining works at two Sewerage Treatment Works located in the Calder Valley between Halifax and Todmorden in West Yorkshire.
These schemes were notable for their intensive use of overpumping to cope with any surge flows encountered during the installation and cure. Up to five 6” pumps and over 1500m of overpumping hose were utilised to ensure compliance with the employers requirements and to mitigate the risk of pollution.
Prior to installation we carried out extensive cleaning works to each of the pipes to be rehabilitated.
Special, purpose built scaffolds were erected due to the weight and inversion characteristics calculated for each insertion.
Four liners, all 600mm diameter, were installed, two at each location, over a total length of 553m.
